Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe. John 20:29
On this Easter Sunday let us rejoice as we celebrate what St. Athanasius calls “the birthday of our eternal Hope.” For today is “the Great Sunday” and the “feast of feasts.”
Inspired by St. Paul’s message in his First Letter to the Corinthians chapter 15, Origen offers us some reflections upon the spiritual meaning of the Resurrection, as he writes:
. . . What is corruptible in us must be clothed in holiness and incorruptibility; and what is mortal must be clothed - now that death has been conquered - in the Father’s immortality. Then God will reign in us, and we shall enjoy even now the blessings of rebirth and resurrection. On Prayer Cap 25: PG 11, 495-499
Wishing you a Blessed Easter season, with the assurance of my prayers for you and your family.
Pax Christi,
Monsignor Robert Nusca
